Paul is a founding member and owner of Brooks Financial Group, Inc., where he serves as Vice President. He entered the insurance and risk management field in 1986 and has concentrated experience in the areas of corporate and employer-sponsored benefits planning. His time in corporate benefits consulting is primarily spent working with business owners and organizational leaders to create and design long-term and sustainable benefits programs to attract, retain, grow and reward their talent. His experience also provides for relationship value in technology, compliance, human resources, and communication. Paul has published a number of industry related corporate benefits articles and white papers; he often conducts webinars on industry specific and related subject matter.
Paul is an active member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Specialists (IFEBP), National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and serves on insurance carrier and TPA advisory committees. Paul is also very involved in the community and has especially close ties with Calvert Hall College High School where he currently serves as President of the Alumni Association. Paul is a member of the Board of Governors for Building for God Community Foundation (www.BuildingforGod.org) which is focused on making positive and determined impact in our local community in the areas of sheltering the homeless, feeding and caring for families, fostering the educational needs of our youth, and supporting those who protect our community.
As a high school alumnus of Calvert Hall College High School, Paul participates in several volunteer programs which support the school and its students. Aside from his duties as the Alumni Association President, Paul co-founded the CHC Career Foundation Committee, and the Red C Challenge program which leverages a number of different tools and opportunities in order to provide students with real-life career opportunities and entrepreneurial experiences.
Paul enjoys and cherishes spending time with his family and friends and can often be found walking local trails and state parks with his wife Michelle and dog Oz. He also has a passion for playing basketball, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, shooting, and spending time at Deep Creek Lake.
