The Department of Labor (DOL) periodically updates their 2023 Employer CHIP Notice and we would like to share information that is current as of July 31, 2023.
As a reminder, employers with group health plans that cover participants in states that provide premium assistance subsidies through Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) are required to notify their employees annually, regardless of the employer’s location.
The DOL’s model notice, which employers may use for this disclosure, reflects changes in the states that offer premium assistance subsidies, as well as the contact information for those states. Click here for more information.
